What Is the Load Center on a Forklift?

The load center is the distance from the front face of the forks to the center of gravity of the load. For most forklifts, it's 500 mm or 600 mm. If your load's center of gravity is further out than the rated load center, your forklift can't lift as much as the spec sheet says. Here's exactly how it works and what it means when you're buying.
